My Story,

I worked in the medical setting for 30+ years and a CPA firm 4 years.  I decided this past November I had enough.  I was tired and needed a change and boy what a change I made!  I am now a very happy, contented stay at home wife (until the hormones go crazy), other than that life is great!

I am very fortunate to have a husband who is willing to work and he works so very hard, so that I have this opportunity to stay home (thank you baby for all you do for our family).  I found this wonderful man Robin, 12 years ago and once again my life made a 360 degree change (for the absolute best) when he walked into my heart.  July 21, 2007 1247

I am a mom of two beautiful girls Heather and Holly who are the apple of my eye, my pride and joy!

I so very proudly get to call myself Nana to four of the most adorable grand children in this world!  What more could any one ever ask for! Maleigh and Mia (sisters) Jeremiah and Athena (brother/sister)

and last but certainly not least, I’m get to be a second mom to these two wonderful people (Nikki and Zack) who make my daughters lives complete!

I started blogging a few months after I left my job, here is the post for you – but I thought I would give you my conclusion of why I blog/write from that post:

So why do I write or blog?  I blog because I love meeting, talking, laughing, crying with people who share the same emotions, understandings, non-judging attitudes, caring, compassion and well who honestly “gets me”.

I write because it is my way of sharing some of my triumphs, joyful moments, disappointments, heartbreaks, love of my family and unusual occurrences.  I don’t use my blog as a diary – if I did it would be too depressing and negative – something I am changing and removing daily and feeling great about this small accomplishment!  I don’t use my blog for political rantings or degrading of others. I use my blog to let people learn a little of who I am without telling all my deep dark secrets – ;), sharing stories of my grand kids, family and of course adventures experienced both past and present.

In conclusion, I have a passion for decorating (both my home and whomever asked me for my help or opinion) and seasonal – thought I had a post showing the different seasonal decorated rooms but do not!! and a hobby of making wreaths some of you have already seen these posts but repeat business is good right?

Ok on to my advice…

Always remember that no matter how hard it seems, it will get better.  Life throws us a curve ball every now and again I think to make us stronger and keep us balanced.

Don’t forget to laugh and enjoy the good times.  It’s ok to cry (men) when it seems like crying is the right thing to do.  We, you and I will make mistakes but learn, grow from them….sometimes it may take more than once but it will be a good lesson learned.  Learn to say I’m sorry and to forgive and forget.

I am stealing Nel’s idea for listing names.  I am honored to have received this award and would love to pass it on to you:

Maria (Super Mommy), Mandy (Broke Girl’s Guide),  Karen (Karen Gimson), Gerri (To Create Sunshine), No Wine I’m Fine, Penny (Penny Lane Writes), Violet Annie (The Paper Wallflower), Chasidy (Sweet Sorghum Living), Himanshi (The Caged Bird Sings)

Please don’t feel any pressure or the need to participate, it really is ok.  I just wanted to thank you for following me and let you know I enjoy your blogs and think you deserve this award.

Of course, there are many of you that I chat with on a daily basis and know you’ve already received this award, so I will not nominate you but will look for your post instead 🙂
