About

Hi my name is Robin, welcome to  “The Robin’s Nest”!  I am so glad you stopped by to take a look around and stayed for a visit.

I live in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee – located 30 minutes North of Downtown Chattanooga, TN (yes as mentioned in the song – the Chattanooga Choo-Choo).  I have lived as far North, South, East and West and somewhere in between the state of Tennessee without ever leaving.  My family moved to Soddy Daisy around 1985 and now call it home.  My heart still belongs and always will to the Appalachian Mountains of Erwin, Tennessee – my forever home.

I am married to an amazing, loving and supportive man, by the way – his name is Robin  – (yes two Robin’s)!  I have been blessed with two wonderfully gracious daughters (Heather and Holly), three of the most beautiful granddaughters (Maleigh, Mia and Athena) and one devilishly handsome grandson (Jeremiah).

I recently became an “unstressed” working outside the home, “uncluttered” work week — new person.  I am learning the meaning of “Let it Go” and living life in a new way…gulp, inhale / exhale – smile ahhhhhh.

At The Robin’s Nest you will learn more about me and my family, our adventures of living, mistakes and/or triumphs in decorating our home, my passion for hobbies and the beginnings of gardening.

I do not have any professional interior decorating training but the passion and desire I hold in my heart is true and real so occasionally I will feature a project or makeover we are working on.

I would to thank a few of my admires for all their encouragement and support for starting this blog and whatever journey or adventure I decide to embark upon; my husband who is by far my biggest and greatest fan, Maleigh my oldest granddaughter who is and always will be my biggest admirer and critic, my daughters, family and friends.

I’m not sure where this next chapter or adventure is going to take me but with much excitement and anticipation I open my home, heart and front door to new friends.
